Terms and Conditions

Yes, it’s the serious bit—but it matters. By booking any service with Military K9, you are agreeing to the terms below. Please read them carefully. Payment for services confirms full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Training and Handling Methods

Military K9 uses balanced, fair, and effective training methods based on experience and results. We always prioritise the safety, wellbeing, and progress of your dog.

We will use our professional judgement to select appropriate training tools and approaches. If you have any concerns or wish to discuss a specific tool or technique, please raise this with us before training begins.

Payment, Refunds, and Cancellations

  • Payment:
All sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking. A booking is not confirmed until payment is received.

  • Refund Policy:
Refunds are only available on Kickstarter and Shadow programs, provided a minimum of 5 days’ notice is given prior to the start date. All approved refunds will incur a £150 non-refundable booking fee.
No other services—including 1:1 sessions, group classes, or subscriptions—are eligible for refunds under any circumstance.

  • Cancellations:
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule 1:1 sessions, group classes, or subscription bookings.
Kickstarter and Shadow program cancellations require at least 10 days’ notice.
Cancellations outside these timeframes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sessions cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances by Military K9, can be held in credit by the client.

  • No-Shows & Late Cancellations:
Full payment will be retained for no-shows and cancellations made outside the required notice period. This applies to all individual sessions and block bookings.

  • Booking:
All bookings must be made directly through Military K9 via social media, phone, or the website contact form.
Training packages may be rescheduled within their valid timeframes, subject to appropriate notice.

Safety

Clients must report any accidents, incidents, or injuries during sessions directly to the trainer. Owners are fully responsible for managing their dog’s behaviour and ensuring the safety of others—dogs and people—at all times.

For home visits, please secure your dog in another room (without access to the front door) when the trainer arrives. You’ll be guided on when and how to introduce your dog to the session. If this arrangement is unsuitable for any reason, contact us in advance to discuss alternatives.

Children at Sessions

Children are welcome to attend training sessions, provided they are under appropriate adult supervision. Military K9 takes no responsibility for children on-site. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who assumes full responsibility for their safety and conduct.

Health and Vaccination

All dogs attending sessions must be in good health and appropriately protected against disease, including parasite control. Consult your vet for guidance on vaccinations, titre testing, or alternatives. Attendance is at the owner's risk.

If your dog is unwell or has been in contact with contagious illness (e.g. coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea), you must inform us before the session. Rescheduling may be required to ensure safety for all.

Please inform us in advance of any allergies, intolerances, medical needs, or behavioural sensitivities so we can adjust the training accordingly. You must supply suitable alternative treats if necessary.

Marketing and Privacy

By agreeing to these Terms, you grant Military K9 permission to use images, videos, and likenesses of you and/or your dog in promotional and educational materials (including online, print, or video). You waive any rights to compensation or claims regarding privacy, publicity, or copyright related to this use.

Liability and Disclaimer

Dog training and handling always carry some level of risk. By participating in any Military K9 training or services, you accept full responsibility for your own safety, your dog's behaviour, and any third parties you bring along.

You agree to hold Military K9 harmless for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during sessions. This includes any pre-existing conditions or medical issues your dog may have, including but not limited to illness, anxiety, age-related conditions, or previous injuries.

In case of emergency, you authorise Military K9 to seek immediate veterinary attention on your behalf if you are unavailable, and agree to cover all associated costs.

If you have any concerns regarding your pet following a session, you must contact us within 24 hours to discuss rescheduling or appropriate next steps.
